Great look. A tad darker than i anticipated. It is almost a brownish/grey-with hint of green in the hue someone. The red/gold plaid is very faint and so it can look like a solid color in some lights. But, again, Christmas gift so he has not tried it and he might love the colors. Good quality. And actually have the button hats - this one has one button.

I had been wearing a size medium for the last six months but it's a bit snug. I finally sized up to a large and it fits much better. I get lots of compliments on this hat.
